Winged Joint Systems > Polycrete 1600

Polycrete 1600 is an elastomeric concrete, engineered for use in nosing applications alongside expansion joint systems. The material is an epoxy blend that resists wear due to the impact of vehicular loadings and also resists cracking at low temperatures.

Polycrete outperforms traditional nosing materials such as concrete, epoxies, and asphalt. These materials have historically shown breakdown due to cracking and allowed moisture and salts to penetrate the concrete surrounding the expansion joint system. If moisture and salt travel down through the joint opening to the structure’s support members it may cause premature deterioration of those members.

Polycrete has a track record of excellent performance. It is used to anchor our extensive line of expansion joint products including applications with the CR-Series, DW-Series and WM-Series winged seals as well as out Aluminum Strip Seal Systems.

JP-Series

JP-Series Tension/Compression Joint System includes an extruded elastomeric profile and a high-strength two-part epoxy-based structural adhesive. When the expansion joint system is inserted into a contraction or expansion joint in a substrate, it will seal the opening from the intrusion of water and debris. Its unique design allows the seal to work under compression as well as tension, enabling the structure to shift in all directions as needed.

J-Series

The J-Series Tension/Compression Joint System includes an extruded elastomeric profile and a high-strength, two-part epoxy based structural adhesive. When inserted into a contraction or expansion joint in a substrate, the system will seal the opening from the intrusion of water and debris. The unique design allows the seal to work under compression or tension.

AR-Series

The AR-Series Tension/Compression Joint System includes an extruded elastomeric compression seal and a high-strength two-part epoxy based structural adhesive. When inserted into a contraction or expansion joint in a substrate, the product will seal the opening from the intrusion of water and debris. It is designed to exist in various constant degrees of compression throughout the range of joint movement.

PV-Series

The PV Series Tension/Compession Joint System is an extruded, elastomeric configuration. When inserted the product is into a contraction or expansion joint in a substrate, it will seal the opening from the intrusion of water and debris. The cross-section has an arrangement of internal webs precisely located to exert a continuous, uniform, horizontal force against the joint walls. It is designed to exist in various constant degrees of compression throughout the range of joint movement.

CR-Series

The Polycrete CR-Series Membrane System is designed for parking deck and open-air structures. It features a preformed, elastomeric membrane, which is fusion-bonded to the concrete deck with Polycrete Elastomeric Concrete. Once installed, this system provides a watertight seal while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width.

DW-Series

The Polycrete DW-Series Membrane System is designed for parking deck and open-air structures. It features a preformed elastomeric membrane that is fusion-bonded to the concrete deck with Polycrete Elastomeric Concrete. Once installed, this system provides a watertight seal while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width.

WM-Series

The WM-Series System is an expansion joint product designed for parking garages and open-air structures, as well as buried joint applications, where leak stoppage is critical. The design features an extruded elastomeric membrane, which is fusion-bonded to the concrete deck with Polycrete Elastomeric Concrete. Once installed, the system provides a watertight seal, while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width.

AR-Series Santoprene

This product is an extruded, elastomeric seal that will seal an expansion or contraction joint opening from the intrusion of water and debris. BR-Series

This product is an extruded elastomeric configuration that, will seal the expansion or contraction joint opening from the intrusion of water and debris. The cross-section has an arrangement of internal webs designed to exert a continuous and uniform horizontal force against the joint walls. It is designed to exist in constant compression throughout the range of joint movement.

PV-Series

This product is an extruded, elastomeric seal that will seal a contraction or expansion joint opening from the intrusion of water and debris. The cross-section has an arrangement of internal webs designed to exert a continuous, uniform force against the joint walls. It is designed to be in constant compression throughout the range of joint movement.

DD-Series

The DD-Series Strip Seal System is designed for use as a "stand alone" an expansion joint system or in conjunction with membrane waterproofing in the sealing of expansion joints in building complexes.

DD-HP-Series

The DD-HP-Series system is an adjustable high profile aluminum joint system. This design is adjustable to height variances using the “tuning fork” design. Adjustments in elevations may be compensated for in the field to match existing conditions allowing for a good fit. Simply anchor the bottom extrusion into place making sure it is plumb and equal distance from the opposing side, place the top extrusion over the male support extrusion, make adjusts to the elevation using the leveling device, match drill though the vertical legs of the extrusions, and bolt the connection using the stainless steel hardware provided.

TM-Series

The TM-Series Strip Seal System is specially designed for parking garage and open-air structure applications. The system features a strip seal shape, locked into rugged aluminum retainers. These metal shapes are fusion-bonded to the deck using the elastomeric concrete (Polycrete) product.

TMW-Series

The TMW-Series Strip Seal System is specially designed for parking garage and open-air structures. The system features a strip seal shape locked into rugged aluminum retainers. These metal shapes are fusion-bonded to the deck using Polycrete elastomeric concrete.

TS-Series

The TS-Series Strip Seal System is designed for parking garage and open-air structures. The system features a strip seal shape, locked into rugged aluminum retainers. These metal shapes are fusion-bonded to the deck using Polycrete elastomeric concrete.

CSS-Series

The Seismic Color Contour Seal is made of preformed compressible material, which can be used in a variety of waterproofing applications. It is made of polyurethane foam that has constant internal forces built into each cell. These cells continuously push against each other and the sidewalls of an opening. Consequently, this force is used to keep out water, moisture, dust, sound, and weather. The product is designed to provide a permanent, watertight seal.

CS-Series

Contour Seal (CS) is a compressible sealer, which can be used in a variety of waterproofing applications. It is made of polyurethane, closed-cell foam, which has constant internal forces built into each cell. These cells continuously push against each other and the sidewalls of the opening. Consequently, this force is used to keep out water, moisture, dust, sound, and weather. The product is designed to provide a permanent, watertight seal.

CSC-Series

The Custodian Contour Seal (CSC) is made of preformed, compressible, polyurethane, micro-cell foam material that is hydrophobic, and chemically resistant. The exposed surface is a traffic grade silicone designed for vehicular traffic. This pre-compressed, foam seal can be used in a variety of waterproofing applications both horizontal and vertical. It is chemically resistant to road solvents such as fuels, antifreeze, oils, grease, and is a UV stable, foam material.

CSD-Series

The "Defender" Contour Seal (CSD) is used as a backer seal and serves as a dual sealant system when used with a high quality urethane or a silicone joint sealant. It is designed with a bond-breaker for caulk. When installed in a joint, the CSD seal’s internal recovery force holds it in place while the sealant compound prevents penetration of air, dust, noise or water. CSD can extend up to 100% and return to seal the joint. It works on a completely different principle from caulk joints and therefore is not subject to the same type of failures.

CSN-Series

The Nautica Contour Seal (CSN) is a preformed, compressible sealer, which can be used in a variety of waterproofing applications. It is made of stabilized polymer, closed cell foam that has constant internal forces built into each cell. These cells continuously push against each other and the sidewalls of an opening. Consequently, this force is used to keep out water, moisture, dust, sound, and weather. The seal has a uniform PVS skin on the exposed face that repels water, oils, dust, and noise. The product is designed to provide a permanent, watertight seal.

CSR-Series

The Rampart Contour Seal (CSR) is made of preformed compressible material, which can be used in a variety of waterproofing applications. It is made of polyurethane, micro cell foam, which is hydrophobic, flame retardant, chemically resistant, UV stable foam. The CSR seal has constant internal forces built into each cell. These cells continuously push against each other and the sidewalls of an opening. This force is used to keep out water, moisture, dust, sound, and weather. The product is designed to provide a permanent, watertight seal, and assures protection as a secondary sealer.

ALCP-System

The aluminum cover plates are designed especially for areas where no flooring material is used. The cover plate bridges the joint gap with minimal preparation for maximum protection. All of the cover plate selections are compliant with the standards of ADA.

Flexible Gutter System

The flexible gutter system incorporates a 60-mil, neoprene sheet, which is securely anchored to the concrete structure under an expansion joint system. The flexible neoprene sheeting allows for easy installation before or after the installation of an expansion joint system. The system will adapt to pre-cast concrete deck surfaces or cast in place structures. Once installed, this system provides a watertight seal, while flexing in response to fluctuations in joint width.

FB-Series

The FB Fire Barrier system, has been tested to ensure compliance with various building design codes. The product carries ratings in compliance with U.L. testing as well as ISO Certification schedule for a two-hour rating.

Perm-A-Shield

The Perm-A-Shield System is a pre-cured, elastomeric, silicone seal system that has ultra-low, modulus, RTV-cured, silicone extrusions that are primarily used for sealing expansion joints and are bonded to substrates using silicone sealants as adhesives. Because of the unique properties of Perm-A-Shield, these extruded shapes are used as permanent sealing solutions where other materials have failed time and time again. Perm-A-Shield is manufactured from 100% silicone, using a revolutionary, patented process specifically designed for maximum production, flexibility, and product variety.
