Product Utilization and Description
The Fire Barrier offered by EMS is made of the highest quality materials in the industry. The stainless steel foil, stainless steel mesh, and ceramic fiber reinforced blanket is versatile and flexible. Each joint width and hour rating has been UL® tested. When used in unison with EMS expansion joint systems, the barrier created is impenetrable to water, debris, smoke, and fire.
The blankets are used in all structures where a fire hazard conditions exists. High rise structures, parking decks under occupied spaces or mechanical rooms, schools, hospitals, airports... the list goes on to any structure where fire migration is of a concern
