Product Utilization and Description
The EB-Series system is designed for heavy-duty traffic crossings. It is well suited for traffic stops, snow plows, loading bays, airport terminals, and hospitals, as well as any other application requiring the extruded wing type system. The wings of the seal are fully encapsulated to monolithically and effectively waterproof the joint opening.
This system includes an extruded high-grade santoprene profile mechanically fastened to the concrete recess with the steel reinforced elastomeric blocks. The blocks are secured to the deck with threaded stainless steel and epoxy anchors. The product, when inserted into a contraction or expansion joint, will seal the opening from the intrusion of water and debris while providing support for foot traffic. The multiple chamber design provides an extra barrier from the intrusion of water if the top of the seal is punctured of cut.
