Product Utilization and Description
The CR-Series Polycrete/Membrane system is the most relied upon type of expansion joint in our industry. It is well suited for exterior use in parking structures, sports arenas, hospitals, and airport terminals, as well as any other type of application requiring the extruded wing type system. The wings of the system are fully encapsulated to monolithically and effectively waterproof the joint opening.
This system includes and extruded high-grade Santoprene profile mechanically fastened to the concrete recess with our flexible polycrete header material. The product, when inserted into a contraction or expansion joint, will seal the opening from the intrusion of water and debris while providing support for foot traffic. The multiple chamber design provides extra barriers against the intrusion of water. The design of the multileveled cross section protects the area below should the top of the seal become punctured or cut.
