Product Description

The EMS aluminum wall closure extrusions are designed to provide a simple, economical, and smooth transition between adjoining walls and ceilings.

The base extrusions are first installed on the wall, and then the lightweight cover plate is snapped into place. The anodized plate presents a clean, flat surface that may be clear or color anodized to accent the surrounding fixtures.

The ARWCR Series is also available for inside and outside wall corners. 

Our architectural systems bridge the joint gap with minimal preparation for maximum protection. This system is designed to cover the joint opening in vertical and overhead applications.

All of the ARW family of joints is made from 6061-T5 or 6063-T6 aluminum alloy extrusions that are secured to the wall with counter sunk flat head screws. The tapered metal retainer wings are mated into the drywall in order to secure the joint frame to the wall and are covered with drywall compound to present a flush fitting surface.

Recommended areas for usage include offices, retail spaces, hospitals, casinos, airports, and shopping malls.

Features and Benefits

  • Ease of Installation – The layout of the anchor points along the edge of the extrusion is a simple process. Alignment of the edge should be parallel to the joint opening, then secure to the wall with dry wall screws. Clean out all the dust and debris; align the center plate into position and snap into the receiver.
  • Tested To ASTM D-1399 – The design was tested in compression, tension and deflection for 500 cycles. No loss of anchorage was noted.
  • Flat Uniform Closure - This system remains flush during all phases of thermal movement.
