Product Description

The EMS ceiling joint covers are made of colorable Vinyl material. This joint cover is adaptable to drywall ceilings and/or suspended tile applications. The colorable material is adaptable to the interior design expectations and may be color matched to suit the needs of the decor.

The ARCJ series is made from dual Durometer colorable vinyl. It has excellent color stability and elastomeric qualities.

Recommended areas for usage include retail spaces, offices, hospitals, shopping malls, and airports. There are many other interior architectural applications that require expansion joint closure in the ceiling. Features and Benefits

  • Ease of Installation – The ceiling joint system is easily installed. Simply drill holes into the metal hangers and pop rivet the seal flanges to the ceiling frame work.
  • Designed For Flush Application – The seal closes onto itself. There are no unsightly protrusions in the seal as it cycles in response to thermal movement and vertical displacement.
  • Tested To ASTM D-1399 – The design was tested to cycle and deflection for 500 cycles. 

Physical Properties

The optional flexible water shield is made from an EPDM material meeting ASTM C864, with a 1700-psi tensile, 65A durometer hardness and 225% elongation.

The aluminum cover plate is made of ASTM 6061-T5 or 6063-T6 grade material.
