Ralph Wilson Stadium Buffalo, NY
Expansion joints in the four radial stairways of the bowl of the stadium were removed and replaced for this project. The JP-series expansion joint was used for this application. To accommodate the stair risers, factory spliced pieces were provided in three-step sections for the contractor. Over 1,880 splices were made during the course of this repair project. Because of the unique shape, style and masonry work in the building that houses the Museum of Jewish Heritage, standard expansion joint systems could not be used to properly seal the exterior of the structure.
